Learn About Our Refund Policy

Thank you for choosing Coastline Tours and Travel for your travel and tour needs in Zanzibar. We are committed to providing excellent service, and we understand that sometimes changes may occur. This Refund Policy explains our terms regarding cancellations and refunds.


1. Booking Confirmation

Once your booking with Coastline Tours and Travel has been confirmed, you will receive an email or message with details of your reservation. By confirming your booking, you agree to our terms and conditions, including the refund policy outlined below.


2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds will only be provided in the following cases:

Cancellation by Coastline Tours and Travel: If we cancel a tour or service due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather conditions, safety concerns, or other operational issues), you are entitled to a full refund or the option to reschedule your tour.

Force Majeure: In cases of force majeure events (such as natural disasters, political instability, or other uncontrollable events), you may be entitled to a full refund or rescheduling, depending on the situation.


3. Cancellation by Customer

If you need to cancel your booking, please note the following refund schedule:


For Holiday Packages and safaris:

Cancellations made at least 14 days before the scheduled tour: You will receive a full refund of the amount paid, minus any applicable processing fees.

Cancellations made 7-13 days before the scheduled tour: You will receive a 50% refund of the total amount paid.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled tour: Unfortunately, no refund will be issued, but we may offer a rescheduling option (subject to availability and additional fees).

No-Show or Early Departure: If you do not show up for your tour or leave early, no refund will be provided.

For tour activities and transfers:

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour: You will receive a full refund of the amount paid, minus any applicable processing fees.

Cancellations made 12 hours before the scheduled tour: You will receive a 50% refund of the total amount paid.

Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the scheduled tour: Unfortunately, no refund will be issued, but we may offer a rescheduling option (subject to availability and additional fees).

No-Show or Early Departure: If you do not show up for your tour or leave early, no refund will be provided.


4. Refund Process

To request a refund, please contact us via email or phone with the following information:

Booking reference number

Name of the person who made the reservation

Date and details of the tour or service

Reason for cancellation or refund request

Once your refund request is received, we will process it within [X] business days. Refunds will be made via the original payment method. Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process the refund.


5. Amendments to Booking

If you wish to amend your booking (e.g., change the date, tour, or number of participants), please contact us at least 7 days before the scheduled tour. Amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional charges depending on the changes made.


6. Non-Refundable Services

Certain services, such as special events, customized tours, or third-party bookings (e.g., hotel reservations, airlines, or other services provided by external partners), may have their own cancellation and refund policies. These services are non-refundable as per the terms set by the third-party provider.


7. Refunds for Group Bookings

For group bookings, please note that our cancellation and refund policy applies to each individual participant. However, in some cases, special group arrangements may apply, and we will discuss the terms with the group organizer upon request.


8. Changes to the Refund Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Please check this policy periodically for updates.
